I am an accredited registrant with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I take a holistic approach to therapy, drawing on a range of therapeutic skills and tailoring my work to meet your individual needs. I believe in the connection between mind and body, and in understanding how past and present experiences can influence the way we think, feel, and relate to ourselves and others.Working together, we will gently explore what feels difficult for you, creating space to build awareness and understanding. This process can support meaningful change, helping you to feel more grounded, connected, and able to move forward with a greater sense of autonomy and well-being.

I work with adults and offer both short-term and long-term therapy sessions, either in-person at my Surrey-based therapy practice room or online via the secure platform Teams. Sessions last 50 minutes and cost £70.00
Across a wide range of areas (but not limited to): Anxiety and Depression, Stress, Sexual Abuse, Disordered Eating, Menopause, Divorce, through to Bereavement and Grief.

What is the difference between a counsellor and a psychotherapist?
While often used interchangeably, counsellors typically work on specific, short-to-medium-term issues, while psychotherapists often explore deeper, long-standing, or complex psychological issues.
Do you offer a FREE introduction consultation?
Yes, I offer a FREE 15-minute informal consultation to learn about your issues or difficulties and talk to you about how I work.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is usually a chance to meet, discuss your goals, understand my approach, and check if you feel comfortable working together. It will involve discussing in more detail your history and the difficulties you are facing. We will agree on the length of your contract. You can start with a short-term six-session contract, then we can review the agreement into a long-term or open-ended contract
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. What you share is confidential. The exceptions would be if you or someone else was at risk of harm or if the law required it.
How many sessions do I need?
I normally advise an initial six sessions, the same time and day each week, to build up momentum and trust between us. Depending on your needs, we can regularly review to see how you are progressing.
How do I choose a therapist?
It is important to find someone qualified, insured, and registered with a professional body like NCPS or BACP. The relationship you build with your therapist is one of the most crucial elements for success. Your therapist should feel like a ‘good fit’ for you.
What if I don't ‘click’ with my therapist?
If you do not feel comfortable or safe, you are allowed to stop or change therapists. It is normal to feel nervous initially, but if a rapport does not develop, you can seek another counsellor.
Can I stop therapy whenever I want?
Yes, therapy is voluntary. However, it is often recommended to have a final session to discuss your progress and properly end the relationship.
Do I need a GP referral?
No, for private therapy, you can self-refer.
Do you offer therapy online?
Yes, I offer individual counselling sessions online via the secure platform Teams. You will be sent a link each week prior to your appointment for you to gain access to the online therapy space.
Do you offer therapy in person?
Yes, you can visit me in person at my Surrey-based private practice room anytime on Wednesday evenings between 5.30pm and 9:30 pm.
